BRIEF ABOUT THE TEAM
Distributed & Workplace Engineering team provides solution development and deployment (technical services) support for RDC & India clients. This team works very closely with business and architects of various AXA Tech entities and provides Infrastructure services for the Regional Datacenter & domestic hub.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include:
o Ensure consistent project delivery; monitor/oversee execution of project activities, with overall responsibility for OTOBOS delivery.
o Understand technical impacts of projects and team delivers all the projects milestones at expected
o Identify cross functional synergies
o Publication & Distribution of approved Documentation
o Participation in the Distributed & Workplace technical Governance
o Provide 3rd level support for complex global problems in order to determine the root causes of incidents to prevent them from reoccurring
o Understand technical impacts of projects
o Ensure designs meet business requirements and compliance to AXA standards
o Identify cross functional synergies
o Ensure no single points of failure
o Provide on-going support and testing
o Validation of Major Technical solutions and remediation activities
o Providing technical expertise and advice to the clients & teams
- Team / Project Management
o Managing project activities as per the defined timelines
o Monitor performance metrics for Project Management Office based on the agreed project reports
o Ensures optimization of resource utilization while delivering to customer requirements
o Establish continual improvement environment
o Install the solutions and applications and Manage the AXA Tech operational relationships
o Stake holder management
o Build action plan, build and obtain team budget, ensure follow-up and control, identify and mitigate risks
o Put in place control procedure to ensure consistent project delivery based on the project plan
o Share vision, support team, understand needs or issues, propose solution and build commitment, build trust, manage cultural differences, conduct and support change
o Ensure that stakeholders know the implications of their decisions, and provide options and alternatives when necessary
o Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the project activities and prepare a status/performance reports
o Ensure quality and high standards are maintained at all times
o Induct and coach new members of the team as necessary
o Ensure compliance to existing processes
o Resolve all escalated issues and/or escalates issues to the senior management as and when required.
SKILLS SET REQUIREMENTS
MANDATORY SKILLS
- 16+ years of corporate experience
- Strong comprehension of ITIL IPC process
- Considerable experience working in a Data Center Infrastructure technical and operational area
- Solid analytical and trouble-shooting skills with experience supporting Data Centre in production environments
- Excellent English communication skills including oral, written and technical documentation.
- Highly motivated team manager and diligent worker with experience and flexibility to support our clients
- Should be able to work in flexi hours as per the requirement.
- Strong expertise in Distributed & Workplace domain (*1)
Technical Skills/Knowledge:-
o Should have worked on different Distributed & Workplace engineering technologies
o Having strong knowledge and experience on designing and implementing large IT infrastructures for big enterprises
o Excellent knowledge on distributed & workplace platforms
o Server operating systems, Active Directory, Management tools, E-mail systems
o VMware, Hypervisors, VM Architecture, Storage, Network, Database and Servers, HA, DRS (Vmotion and Storage Vmotion), SRM, Data mirroring, 3rd data copy, Bubble & Conventional DR tests
o Server hardware & unified technologies[Cisco UCS, IBM, HP flex]
o Database (RDBMS, SQL, Oracle, Mainframe/AS400 DB2 DB’s)
o Enterprise class Storage SAN & NAS technologies [IBM, Netapp, HDS]
o Backup technologies [Enterprise class tape libraries, VTL, Dedup, Netbackup, TSM]
o VDI, Citrix, Cloud integrations
o Ability to implement network configurations including Local Area, Wide Area, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
o Platform security, Virus Protection & Pattern upgrades, Patch management
o Failover and DR principles
o Strong knowledge of Capacity, Asset, Monitoring processes
o Intermediate skills on MS tools like Excel, Powerpoint
