Job Description/ Position Description:
Supervise the support team and maintain equilibrium across. Extensively requires one to drive issue resolution with SLA or operation approved limits. Need to be flexible with availability 24/7 or on call basis and be the first level of escalation point for the team internal client stake holders.
Job Role / Your future duties and responsibilities
Individual contributor 60%, team leadership 40%
Lead and mentor junior members technically and operationally
Preparing weekly meeting and providing weekly stats for team and overall progress to higher management.
Should be able to handle multiple projects/clients at a time.
Support CGI developed platforms (built on open source products, additionally custom developed), running on Linux and Windows
Support integrations of these platforms with other tools, systems and applications.
Ensure platform availability and capacity.
Need to be extra vigilant towards scheduling maintenance, CAB/change meetings and approving downtimes.
Ensure incident response and resolution, request fulfillment, change management and problem management as per established SLAs
Working closely with the team and ensuring that the defined responsibilities are completed on time and with quality
Continual Service Improvement (CSI) for the processes owned by the team.
Shift planning as per the activities planned
Action planning, process documentation and management reports
Good Communication with local and global, internal and external stakeholders at various levels
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Perl scripting, powershell, unix command, enterprise application or application infrastructure.
Good knowledge of windows, Unix/Linux operating systems (from a platform perspective and not from an OS administration perspective)
Good knowledge of web, application servers and Database servers (Eg: IIS, Apache, websphere, Jboss, oracle, MySQL, MongoDB etc…)
Able to escalate incidents, solve problems, identify and drive changes in a high throughput operation
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent client-facing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Mandate
Good to have skill: networking, AD, DNS, DHCP concepts
